Pétanque is the French game of boules and is played in over 50 countries around the World—more than 300,000 registered players in France only. It started off in Provence more than 100 years ago and quickly proved popular. If you’ve been on holiday in France or Spain the chances are you’ve seen Pétanque players in action.
In Ireland there are active clubs in Cork, Bangor, Sligo and Dublin.
